Private interconnection to an extended list of AWS facilities across the country can now be advantageously utilized by customers of Telx.

A wide assortment of intricate issues can be resolved by merging these capabilities with network services of any carrier or cloud service provider, which interrelate at Telx's major facilities.

These offerings will augment performance, protection, availability, distributed processing and redundant storage, required for assisting usual operations along with business stability and disaster recovery.

Clients need to regard business continuity and disaster recovery as a unit of their general business and IT strategies as a result of the severe weather events. The requirement for an assortment of network strategies to link users, enterprise data centers, colocation facilities and the cloud is on the rise, due to growing consumer expectations and increased use of cloud services and hybrid architectures.

In case of a disaster, economical, high-performance and protected private access to the AWS network can be leveraged by customers for supporting the needs of very-important systems. In a statement, Joe Weinman, SVP, Cloud Services and Strategy, Telx said, "Extending Telx's service offerings with AWS enables clients to design their applications to achieve faster end-user response times, greater security and availability, and better protection from potential regional failures.”

“Today's enterprises face an array of complex application and architectural requirements,” he added. “Telx's continued investments in state-of-the-art facilities – and the ever-increasing ability to provide a rich variety of interconnection solutions between facilities, and to AWS – continue to increase the value of the Telx ecosystem."

A broad assortment of implementation scenarios for Telx's customers is offered by connectivity via Amazon's Direct Connect. These include connectivity for direct storage, big data, high-performance applications and customized hybrid architectures.

Telx is a major provider of interconnection and data center services ideal for strategic, high-requirement North American markets.
