Allied Fiber (News - Alert), a provider of a network-neutral, dark fiber, colocation and interconnection systems, announced it has participated at the recently held Federation of Internet Solution Providers of the Americas (FISPA (News - Alert)) Simmering Service Provider Summit in Atlanta, GA.

Hunter Newby, CEO of Allied Fiber, delivered a session on “Ask the Experts: Data Center Build outs” with Tim Kiser, CEO of Colo Atl.

According to FISPA, Allied Fiber's dark fiber system provides the necessary infrastructure to fuel the future of the Internet.

“FISPA brings together a variety of Internet solutions providers and Allied Fiber looks forward to participating at its upcoming event,” said Newby. “Allied Fiber shares FISPA’s mission of educating the importance of the Internet to the public and is pleased to have the opportunity to come together with other members of the organization.”

“The Internet is an essential part of our everyday lives and fostering its growth is critical as we prepare for the innovations of the future,” Newby added.

Allied Fiber employs advanced fiber optic cables in its multi-duct dark fiber system to meet the ever-increasing bandwidth demands for wireless, Video over IP and other advanced technologies. It will unite communities along its route across the continental US.

The dark fiber solutions address America’s need for more broadband access, wireless backhaul, data center distribution and lower latency communications services.

The FISPA organization provides member companies with a range of services including Internet Access, Cloud Applications, Web Design, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Hosted PBX (News - Alert), Managed Network Services. Members also get an opportunity to network and engage in discussion and educate the public on the importance of the Internet industry.

“Allied Fiber’s dark fiber system will provide the necessary infrastructure to fuel the future of the Internet,” said Jim Hollis, executive director of FISPA. “As an organization based upon Internet solutions, FISPA sees true value in what Allied Fiber looks to accomplish. FISPA and Allied Fiber can both benefit from forums like this Summit to raise awareness.”
