Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter has inaugurated a new Fiberlink office in downtown Philadelphia and at the ribbon cutting ceremony welcomed Fiberlink to the downtown area, praising the company’s commitment to promoting economic growth in the city.

Fiberlink’s rapid growth in the mobile technology sector, powered by the popularity of iPads, iPhones and Androids with employees in the workplace, drives the need for additional office space. Over the last year alone, the company reportedly acquired over a thousand employees and recently hired a hundred new employees to support its rapidly expanding business.

A 300-worker, cloud-based, mobile-device-management firm in Blue Bell, the firm added a 30,000-square-foot office at Three Parkway to house Fiberlink’s engineers, salespeople, researchers and technicians, and also accommodate the company’s supposedly skyrocketing growth.

The new building is claimed to be eco-friendly, energy efficient consuming minimal resources and reinforces Fiberlink’s commitment to the environment.

“Fiberlink and other small businesses are the keys to economic growth in Philadelphia and our nation,” said Mayor Nutter, who is also the president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. “The growth potential and wellbeing of any city rests in its ability to retain and attract talented young professionals with the promise of good career opportunities. Fiberlink's continued success demonstrates how innovative technology companies can tap into this strong talent pool and thrive in our city. I thank Fiberlink for continuing to create jobs and promote economic growth in Philadelphia.”

Fiberlink, recently positioned as a ‘Leader’ in Gartner (News - Alert) Magic Quadrant for mobile device management software, acknowledged that its deep roots are in Philadelphia and will continue to provide enterprise mobility management and security solutions to customers.

Fiberlink is also looking for professionals in the areas of inside sales, marketing R&D and customer success to join their talented, creative and passionate team of employees, and the Three Parkway’s urban environment is seen as the ideal location to attract talent from the renowned schools in the city.
