GCCA, a provider of green cloud computing and modular data center solutions, announce that it is now a member of the Allied Fiber’s (News - Alert) Dark Fiber Community, an online resource created to assist those building new and extending existing dark fiber networks.
The Dark Fiber Community, hosted by Allied Fiber and powered by TMCnet, exists to bring together those that seek to build optical transport networks more efficiently and cost effectively with the providers of the key elements required for success. It supposedly facilitates the actual interaction between buyers and sellers.
With over 130 members, the Dark Fiber Community serves as a portal for access to the entire industry and some of the categories in it include companies that are equipment vendors, infrastructure builders, financing companies, carrier services and industry associations.
Allied Fiber creates mutually beneficial marketing relationships with multiple industry segments, including but not limited to, hardware vendors, network management, colocation operators, media and channel partners. The company partners with telecom network and technology managers, including hardware providers and colocation operators, to further drive a cohesive education platform to the marketplace.
GCCA claimed that it is a carrier neutral provider of dark fiber with a national footprint and its dark fiber features all the necessary components to address the lack of accessible dark fiber in the market by making carrier neutral dark fiber available. The solutions from GCCA not only enable simplicity through modular and greenness through energy efficiency, but its business alliance also enables the independent data center to enter a cloud business model.
In related news, FISPA (News - Alert) recently acknowledged Allied Fiber’s commitment to deliver Internet infrastructure and Allied Fiber met the demands for dark fiber with development of network-neutral fiber system.
