Sunesys recently announced that it will be extending lit transport services over dedicated fiber strands to the Philadelphia Technology Park. The company will first begin offering 1Gbps, 10Gbps, 40Gbps, and 100 Gbps layer 2 connections over dedicated fiber strands. This is in addition to dark fiber services, which Sunesys began providing to the Philadelphia Technology Park early this year.

In a release, Alan Katz, Sr. VP of Business Development for Sunesys said that, “Since we installed our connection to the Philadelphia Technology Park earlier this year, we have seen an increased demand for lit services into the facility. With the Sunesys model of end-to-end network dedication, our lit service offering provides a unique solution for customers looking for the highest levels of security, reliability, and simplicity.”

The Philadelphia Technology Park, which is located at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, is an addition to the Northeast regional network of Sunesys which currently includes Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware; these areas are connected via more than 3,300 miles of fiber. The technology park has been designed as a state-of-the-art, 25,700 square foot colocation data center that provides customers with mission critical data services.
