The need for high-speed networks in the metropolitan areas has been driving growth in the fiber-optic based network services. And Rochester, New York-based Fibertech Networks has been a beneficiary of this growth. As a result, the company has expanded its footprint to more than 8,000 route miles of fiber across 23 mid-size markets in the Eastern United States.

Consequently, the company has been seeing nearly 25 percent increase in revenue year-over-year. And, according to the service provider, 2011 was a record year in terms of growth.  The company attributes this success to its dedicated employees, the force behind all company endeavors.

In fact, according to Fibertech, last October, company employees received top honors from the ATLANTIC-ACM Metro Report Card, an anonymous nationwide survey composed of responses directly from carrier customers.

Amongst the recognition, Fibertech took first place in six categories, including brand, sales representatives, provisioning, enterprise data value, network performance, and overall data quality. Similarly, the company also received honors in a survey of business customers as part of the ATLANTIC-ACM 2011 Business Connectivity Report Card.

Likewise, the company said that customer service is a key element in Fibertech’s success. As a result, Fibertech closed more than 860 new sales contracts last year, asserted the maker.

Recently, it was recognized as one of the 2012 best companies to work for in New York. According to Fibertech, this in-state survey focused on employee satisfaction and was conducted by the Society for Human Resources Management, the business council of New York, and Best Companies Group. Additionally, amongst the hundreds of businesses that participated in this survey, Fibertech was listed in the top 25.

John Purcell, Fibertech Chairman & CEO, said, “As we move into 2012, our employees are working hard to complete installations on all Q4-11 orders, as well as to help customers with their new fiber network needs.”  The company is aiming for a repeat performance in 2012, Fibertech stated.
