Recently, Belden announced that its Telecast Fiber Systems brand is being combined into its recently acquired Miranda brand. Telecast is now a featured product brand under the Miranda umbrella.

Telecast Fiber Systems from Belden provides intensive research in the field, and has offered a complete family of fiber optic communications systems delivering the transmission of virtually all the signals used in television broadcast production.

Telecast has the right product set to meet customers’ requirements, whether they’re producing the Olympics, creating a studio-transmitter link or outfitting a studio, campus or venue with fiber.

Various examples of Miranda/Telecast applications will be on display at an upcoming event.

With Miranda’s routing, infrastructure and monitoring solutions and Telecast’s fiber connectivity portfolio, Belden now provides solutions from camera to control room and beyond.

In an important, quickly changing and resource-constrained area, this unique feature influences content production and offers improved efficiency and flexibility for customers. For the television broadcast, cable, satellite and IPTV (News - Alert) industry, Miranda Technologies has been a major provider of hardware and software solutions, the company said in a recent statement.

Belden recently added two new software tools to its Hirschmann portfolio for WLAN projects. The two new software tools, BAT-Planner and BAT-Planner Pro, are fully compatible with all Windows operating systems and help configure the necessary components and are complete with network TAP functionality.

The BAT-Planner is created for end users who lack WLAN knowledge but would like to create a list of the Hirschmann components required for their particular solution.
