The Rackwise DCIM suite is exclusively powered by Intel (News - Alert) DCM and it enables users to have reliability and discover hidden capacity. It also promotes efficiency within their data centers and across their global information technology and facilities infrastructure. The solution further offers users the capability to manage a global network of data centers from a single console.
Recently, Lincoln Electric System (LES) picked up the Rackwise DCIM suite in its data centers in the Lincoln, Nebraska area.
LES has more than 113,000 residential customers and 15,000 commercial and industrial customers. Offering affordable electrical supply consistently to such a large number of customers requires specialized solutions. Rackwise DCiM X offers Intel’s device level tracking facility and this will allow to LES to have deep insight into its major functions such as power, cooling, and heat monitoring.
Rackwise DCIM will also allow LES to reduce its carbon footprint and comply with the statutory requirements. The company believes that deploying Rackwise DCIM has been a proactive approach in contributing towards a greener world.
Mr. Guy A. Archbold, Rackwise, Inc. chief executive officer, added, “Lincoln Electric System is a top performing regional energy provider in the United States, consistently delivering reasonably priced energy to their customers while addressing evolving compliance requirements in a highly regulated environment. We are pleased and proud that LES has selected our DCiM X offering to monitor, manage, and optimize their information technology infrastructure as part of their commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible energy delivery.”
Even educational institutions will need the services that are offered by Rackwise. In 2011, looking to manage every IT and network controlled asset for the university, one of the major California State University chose the RACKWISE (News - Alert) Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) product. The university selected Rackwise mainly because of the breadth and flexibility of the company’s solution.
