Alpheus Communications (News - Alert) has announced that the company has expanded its abilities to offer Ethernet services to the Rio Grande Valley.
This new expansion will be useful for Mexican concessionaires who are looking to cater to the demand for cross-border voice and data communications. This new expansion will also bring high-quality Metro Ethernet solutions to South Texas, the company has announced.
According to the company, the addition of Ethernet services in South Texas completes its bouquet of products in this region as it already provides services in areas such as Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston. The new service provides variety of services such as transport solutions, which allows the users to establish a connection between business locations in South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley.
As the company expands throughout South Texas, it provides more opportunities for users to network-to-network interfaces with carrier customers. According to the company, this provides them maximum flexibility to improve their own networks.
“This latest network expansion was driven largely by customer demand to access more Texas markets on our network, so now we’re opening up additional markets and we’re always on the lookout for potential new markets,” said Chip Robertson, senior vice president of carrier sales for Alpheus Communications. “Specific to South Texas, our customers will be able to leverage multiple Alpheus technologies to deliver Ethernet to businesses throughout the Rio Grande Valley while also using our network to haul traffic back to large metro markets.”
In 2010, the company announced its plans to light its fiber network assets.
