JDSU (News - Alert) has initiated a new partner program called, PacketPortal CONNECT, specifically for channel partners, system integrators, and application developers.
This program is aimed at associating best of breed partners from the communications industry in an ecosystem that offers superior applications, unmatched domain and solution expertise, and ongoing sales and marketing support.
JSDU has introduced PacketPortal to allow mobile, broadband, cable, and all types of network operators to leverage their unique position between content providers and customers. According to the company, this is a scalable, pervasive, and cost-effective approach to harvest valuable intelligence hidden within networks in order to optimize performance, minimize revenue leakage, improve troubleshooting time, introduce new services, and attract new customers.
Recently, technology specialist Empirix (News - Alert) joined the PacketPortal CONNECT program to expand their fixed line service assurance solution and also gain information enhance time-to-diagnosis and to improve customer experience with this new program.

PacketPortal CONNECT boosts software applications by fueling them with rich intelligent data previously hidden deep within networks and inaccessible edge devices such as mobile base stations, switches and routers, and remote enterprise office equipment.

A cloud-based technology, PacketPortal decouples data collection from intelligence processing, which can be located in a central location such as a data center.
