Lightower Fiber Networks, a northeastern metro fiber and bandwidth provider, recently expanded its footprint in the key New York City and New Jersey areas by providing its all-fiber networking to the TELEHOUSE (News - Alert) America’s Staten Island data center.
Engineered for big bandwidth, low latency, and reliability, Lightower's all-fiber network provides enterprises, financial firms, media companies, and service providers access to state-of-the-art networking solutions.
Touted as a provider of dedicated data centers, TELEHOUSE America powers international Internet exchanges and managed IT services. Its Staten Island facility serves as the company’s regional headquarter, boasting 162,000 square feet of floor space, highest-level security and N+1 Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), redundant cooling and diverse fiber routes for strong reliability.
Both Lightower and TELEHOUSE customers will be seeing vital benefits from this partnership. While TELEHOUSE America customers will have immediate access to all Lightower end-to-end fiber networking solutions, which include 40G and 100G Ethernet and wavelengths, ultra-low latency networking, advanced video transport, dark fiber, and private networking, customers wil also gain immediate access to the over 3,500 service locations on the Lightower Network.
“Lightower is very pleased to offer customers all-fiber networking into the TELEHOUSE America Staten Island data center. Combining the Lightower Network with this Telehouse facility offers our mutual customers a powerful and reliable data center networking solution in the critical New York City market. We look forward to continuing to grow our business with TELEHOUSE America,” VP of Sales at Lightower, Doug Turtz noted in a statement.
“We are delighted to continue our expansion with Lightower. Lightower offers a full range of network solutions and expanded options that can support both our client base and carrier partners in our Staten Island facility. We announced Lightower's move with us in April into our Chelsea data center facility, and we now welcome the company to 7 Teleport this month.
