Sidera, a provider of high capacity communications services and dark fiber to carrier and enterprise customers, has partnered with data center provider CoreSite (News - Alert) Realty Corporation to provide high-capacity connectivity between CoreSite data centers located in Chicago; Boston; New York; Washington, DC; and Reston, VA.

The partnership benefits CoreSite customers as they get access to over 40 financial exchanges and the Sidera Xtreme Ultra-Low Latency Network, designed for applications that require the highest performance and lowest latency.

CoreSite features a diverse colocation offering from individual cabinets to custom cages and private suites, with 14 data center locations in nine major U.S. markets.

"CoreSite has developed a successful model of attracting the largest content players, service providers, and end-customers and connecting them together at key exchange points around the country," said Jarrett Appleby, COO, CoreSite, in a statement. "This strategy relies on our selection of key fiber providers like Sidera to deliver high-performance networks for our customers' applications."

Sidera Networks (News - Alert) provides tailored, high-capacity communications services to both carrier and large enterprise customers. Their offerings include Ethernet, SONET, wavelength, dark fiber, and Internet access.

The high-capacity network from Sidera provides the redundancy, diversity, and scalability required to support the requirements of CoreSite’s customers in the financial services, content delivery, Web services, media and entertainment, and other high-bandwidth services.

The partnership also allows Sidera to extend peering on CoreSite's Any2 exchange, the second largest peering exchange in the country. Sidera also will be able to provide seamless access to CoreSite's Open Internet Exchange (News - Alert) offering expanded peering and interconnection services to CoreSite customers.
