The Telx and Sabey Data Centers partnership will soon launch its 18th Cloud Connection Center "SEA1" within the Pacific Northwest region. SEA1, which will be developed as a fully-conditioned data center, will be located on Sabey's Intergate Seattle-East campus facility in Seattle, Washington.

In a statement, Chris Downie, president & CFO of Telx, said that, "Today's announcement marks a significant expansion for Telx as we further solidify our West Coast presence and national portfolio of high-quality data centers. The growing importance of the Seattle market for customers doing business in-region and as a launching point for Asia makes it an important strategic investment for our long term growth strategy. We are pleased to join in partnership with Sabey on this exciting endeavor. Working with a prestigious and reputable company such as Sabey at such a key location will help our clients expand and deliver applications and services throughout the Northwest."

Coupled with Telx's interconnection expertise, these network options will effectively enhance network resiliency and substantially bring down latency to locations based in California and Asia, as they can bypass the Westin location completely. At present, the facility, which is served with 9MW of power, can quickly expand via additional power capacity on campus.

John Sabey, president, Sabey Data Centers, said that, "Establishing this relationship with Telx at our Intergate facility in Seattle combines our best-in-class property with one of the leading retail colocation providers in the country. Telx's impressive array of interconnection services and client roster is a welcome addition to our Intergate facility and we look forward to working with them to expand this ecosystem in Seattle."

Seattle’s business community has been voicing greater demand for colocation services. A number of companies within this region ranging from manufacturing, healthcare, information technology and communications sectors to biotechnology and energy sectors have implemented advanced technology solutions. With the establishment of the new data center facility, both new and existing customers of Telx will now be able to expand their services within the region.
