Bell Aliant Selects NetCracker's BSS/OSS Solutions

NetCracker Technology has announced that Bell Aliant (News - Alert) has selected its BSS/OSS solutions to go live with an expansion of its FibreOP product.


FibreOP currently offers high speed Internet access and IPTV (News - Alert). The FibreOP Internet service provides various high speed options to the customers. The FibreOP television service provides 200 SD channels, more than 100 HD channels, and over 98 music channels. Bell Aliant has recently upgraded the middleware of their FibreOP TV product to Microsoft Mediaroom.

NetCracker’s (News - Alert) BSS/OSS solution for the FibreOP includes CRM, CSR desktop, customer information management, end-to-end order management (including product, service, and resource catalogs), trouble ticketing, service provisioning, service inventory, workforce management and resource management.

Along with a next generation interactive program guide, FibreOP TV allows users access to Whole Home HD, Whole Home PVR, an extensive Video on Demand library. While current FibreOP TV customers were upgraded with a progressive roll-out, all new FibreOP customers were provisioned on the new Mediaroom platform, the company had announced.

“Over the course of this program, we have developed a very strong relationship with Bell Aliant, and this has resulted in the company placing a large amount of trust in us as the lead provider of BSS/OSS applications,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker. “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Bell Aliant and will continue to leverage our world-class program management and SI capabilities as well as the strength of our comprehensive, next-generation BSS/OSS solutions suite.”

Recently, the company upgraded its telecom operations and management solutions (TOMS) portfolio. The company also entered into new contracts with mobile and satellite operators (MSOs) and converged service providers. NetCracker has invested in various research and development programs. To further augment its TOMS portfolio, it has also acquired strategic assets.
