Cross River Fiber, a provider of boutique dark fiber optic and telecommunications solutions, has successfully completed the deployment of its direct end-to-end dark fiber route between Weehawken and Secaucus, New Jersey.

The company specializes in CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) and boutique dark fiber solutions. Cross River maintains an independent fiber-optic network infrastructure. It specializes in delivering scalable high-speed fiber optic network that are suitable for business requirements.

The deployment includes an ultra-low latency route of 5.94 km distance interconnecting two key data center hubs serving the New York metro financial services community. This is expected to ensure low fiber latency between the key data center hubs.

Vincenzo Clemente, President and CEO of Cross River Fiber, said, “The completion of this new route in an exclusive partnership with Hudson Fiber Network provides companies greater accessibility to lit, passive and dark fiber services in the much sought-after Northern New Jersey Marketplace.”

The Weehawken data center is a multi-tenant data center that is optimally connected directly to major facilities covering the New York metro market including financial market exchanges. The Cross River Fiber connects this data center to the financial market exchanges in Secausus.

“With a distance of only 5.94 km end-to-end, this new, low latency fiber route offers a major improvement, shaving kilometers from the next best commercially available routes,” added Clemente.

Officials explained that the network extension will offer access to Cross River Fiber’s network encompassing several markets in New Jersey. The committed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Will be based on the actual measured OTDR distance.

Recently Cross River launched its “Hat Trick” promotion as an enterprise bandwidth solutions provider. As part of this promotion, the company is offering an attractive dark fiber service package to customers who sign a three-year contract to purchase routes into three buildings. Under the promotional offer, customers will receive three months of free services.

With this offercustomers can flexibly choose from several key New Jersey-based data centers including the facilities at Halsey Street, said officials.
