Genesis Technical Systems Corp. will be showcasing its ground-breaking DSL Rings technology at the Rural Telecom Industry Meeting and Expo, scheduled in Florida on February 4-5, 2013.

For the first time, rural and urban customers of telecommunication companies or Telcos in North America will be able to experience DSL Rings, capable of offering 400 Mb/s over current copper telecommunications infrastructures.

The prize-winning, patented, ground-breaking DSL Rings technology allows Telcos to offer extremely speedy broadband at an affordable price. Compared to the expenses associated with the fiber to the home (FTTH) or fiber to the premises (FTTP), DSL Rings is available for a fraction of the price.

Extremely inexpensive triple play and quad play can be introduced in both rural and urban areas with capacity offered by DSL Rings. Telcos will be able to get back their investments in a maximum of two years with the solution, which can be implemented as per customer requirements.

In a statement, Stephen Cooke, president and CTO, Genesis said, "DSL Rings facilitates Telco customer acquisition, win-back and retention by offering better, faster services; more bandwidth; and a lower unit cost (per Mb/s) than current methods of delivering broadband services over copper."

DSL Rings rural offering from Genesis is ideal for places which are far from exchanges, and hence conventional broadband procedures cannot be implemented. VoIP, Wi-Fi, Wi-Max, M2M, CCTV and CATV, automated meter reading, mobile network offload, femtocells, picocells, HD IPTV (News - Alert), video conferencing, video streaming, video on demand and 4k UHDTV are compatible with DSL Rings.

Backhaul for femtocells can also be offered by DSL Rings, thereby easing the congestion on the mobile networks.

Garry Kelman, CEO at Genesis said, "We are very pleased to be launching our DSL Rings Rural Solution at the Rural Telecom Industry Meeting in Florida and build on the success of our global launch at the Broadband World Forum last October. As a part of our rural launch, we are offering attending Telcos the unique opportunity to sign up for special field trial packages.”

“Genesis Technical Systems is passionate about enabling affordable Superfast Broadband for everyone, whether they live in rural communities or cities," he said.
