iAreaNet, a provider of cloud-based office systems for businesses, has recently selected one of the Open Data Centers’ colocation facilities in Piscataway, N.J., to host its Northeast cloud platform.
ODC’s Piscataway data center facility comes with an array of location-related advantages: its inland location is well above the flood zone, and its multiple-power back-up system ensures business continuity despite power outages. Businesses can also choose from a number of connectivity options including multiple dark fiber, Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), Ethernet over Copper (EoC), and metro Ethernet; for all these options, businesses pay only a one-time cross connect fee.
In short, the 8,500-square-foot, scalable data center is well equipped to meet today’s data intensive business application needs. Its 24/7 monitoring and security, N+1 redundant connectivity, reliable power and maximum uptime capabilities are ideal for housing cloud solutions and carrier Points of Presence (PoPs), as well as the colocation of data-rich applications requiring high bandwidth and security.
In view of all these, it was natural for iAreaNet to host its cloud platform at this New Jersey facility. iAreaNet’s clients include businesses, VARs and agents. The company’s IT and communications portfolio combines data, voice, collaboration and mobile connectivity.
The iAreaOffice package includes phone service, integrated unified communications, hosted exchange, conferencing and applications that include the latest version of Microsoft (News - Alert) Office, and the ability to integrate other software to be delivered as a service, such as QuickBooks or Abacus Attorney.
“It is important for our infrastructure to be diverse, accessible and reliable in order for our customers to achieve the greatest uptime disaster prevention and shortest path to access the data hosted in our facilities. ODC’s Piscataway data center facility is the ideal complement to our other facilities located in geographically dispersed regions – Georgia and California. It is this geographic reach and capability that ensures our customers the optimal level of service for their business applications,” iAreaNet founder James DeCrescenzo explained in a statement.
TMC (News - Alert) selected iAreaOffice, the cloud-based business communications suite from iAreaNet, to receive the 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year award, presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
