Cincinnati Bell (News - Alert), an exchange and wireless provider for residential and commercial customers in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, is now making advances in telecommunications products. According to an article on Cincinnati.com titled “Cincinnati Bell to Expand Fastest Internet Service” by Josh Pichler, their Fioptics gigabit internet service is 10 to 100 times faster than their customer’s current broadband service, and Dave Helmbach, the Chief Operating Office of Cincinnati Bell, has reported that the service is equivalent in speed to Google (News - Alert) fiber.
They are looking to invest $80 million this year in their future so they can expand the fiber network and work toward moving their corporate model toward an entertainment, communications, and IT solutions company. Ultimately, Cincinnati Bell will be able to offer high speed internet, voice, and entertainment services over their extruded glass and plastic fibers. Currently they are available in 35 percent of the businesses and households with a future outlook of reaching 70 percent.
In the modern lifestyle and workforce, speed is a premium advantage to help move you forward and have everything flow efficiently. To assist in this endeavor Cincinnati Bell has merged with Cintrifuse and the Brandery, which are technology startups. Cincinnati will give Cintrifuse gigabit data service for their co-working space. The space will be occupied by the Brandery which is a consumer branding and marketing accelerator. Together with another tenant of Cintrifuse, investor Cincy Tech, they will work to propel Cincinnati Bell toward achieving its goal of offering the fastest internet service.
Cincinnati is positioning itself for great future growth and expansion with smart strategic partnerships. The future is limitless for them as well as future technological advances. We will be hearing a lot from them in the future and life will be made a little easier with the use of their technology.
