Long Island’s premier carrier-neutral Meet Me Room for network interconnection and colocation, 1025Connect, has announced that it has hired Milton Koropshinsky as its Director of Operations. More familiarly known throughout the Dark Fiber community as “K,” Milton comes aboard the 1025Connect team bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. As Ops Director, Koropshinsky will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the well-known colocation facility in Westbury, N.Y., as well as taking on other responsibilities as they arise.

“We are excited to have Milton join the 1025Connect team as Director of Operations,” said Dan Lunde (News - Alert), managing director at 1025Connect, in a vote of confidence for his new team member. “Milton’s dedication to meeting the customer’s needs is a great asset to 1025Connect. With his depth of experience in telecommunications systems, 1025Connect can excel and prepare our customers to meet the rising demands of today’s network technologies. We look forward to growing 1025Connect with the support of professionals like Milton.”

Prior to joining 1025Connect, Koropshinsky was with Verizon (News - Alert) for 23 years. He started with Centex Telemanagement, and stayed aboard through various mergers and acquisitions, working in succession for MFS, UUNET, WorldCom, MCI and finally Verizon. Koropshinsky has extensive expertise in a variety of voice and data technologies and applications, which will benefit both customers and his business partners at 1025Connect.

Currently, 1025Connect provides network operators of all types – carrier and enterprise alike – with a central and high-performing global marketplace for their communications service needs. Tenants within 1025 Connect benefit from direct access to multiple trans-Atlantic and Caribbean submarine cable systems, every major New York City metro fiber provider and Manhattan bypass fiber routes, all without any monthly recurring cross connect fees.

The addition of Koropshinsky as Ops Director underscores the strong growth 1025Connect has been experiencing, and the need to service its growing customer base. As additional network operators are added to the facility and existing tenants continue to expand, Koropshinsky’s experience will be a welcome addition to manage the process, the company noted in a statement. More information about the company can be found at www.1025connect.com.
