Atlantic Metro (News - Alert) Communications, a managed infrastructure service provider, has been operating its cloud service portfolio out of 325 Hudson since 2007. Currently, it is establishing a point of presence within the building owned and managed Meet Me Room by deploying its CloudDirect DCx.

This expansion is believed to allow more customers to connect to Atlantic Metro's network in a cost effective manner, and expand its reach to a greater diversity of carriers.

325 Hudson Street, is a 10-story, 240,000 square foot building located in the heart of New York City's Hudson Square neighborhood. The building has direct access to transatlantic cables as well as major metro and regional fiber providers. The carrier-neutral core interconnection facility features a Meet Me Room which provides a stable long-term neutral environment for global network operators in New York City.

"Due to the space constraints of other network-neutral facilities in the New York metropolitan area, 325 Hudson is well positioned to become the next premiere carrier-neutral Meet Me Room location," Stephen Klenert (News - Alert), chief strategy officer at Atlantic Metro Communications said in a statement.

"We are excited to continue operating our network out of 325 Hudson and expanding our capacity with other carriers and new customers. Our relationship with 325 Hudson provides us with the opportunity to offer next-gen connectivity service—Atlantic Metro will be able to easily deploy 40G and 100G solutions without expensive retrofits to legacy infrastructure," Klenert added.

Back in 2012, Atlantic Metro joined the Amazon Partner Network with the launch of its CloudDirect Services. Atlantic Metro's CloudDirect services then enabled customers using AWS to establish secure and reliable connectivity from any of its Internet Data Centers, Network POPs, and locations with Metro Ethernet connectivity.

"Having Atlantic Metro establish a physical presence in the 325 Hudson Meet Me Room is yet another example of the diverse network base being established," Hunter Newby (News - Alert), joint venture partner at 325 Hudson made a mention.

"Their presence builds on the value for all network operators of having no monthly recurring cross connect charges in the 325 Hudson Meet Me Room. We welcome Atlantic Metro and all network operators and are excited to see these positive developments for the community," Newby added.
