Calix (News - Alert), Inc., a global leader in access innovation, has launched the Fiber Forward Partner Program.

Officials with Calix said that the Fiber Forward Partner Program is a highly selective program for Channel Partners that focuses on matching the world-class access innovation of Calix with local market leadership to drive new market opportunities, rapid results, and an improved bottom line.

The Calix Fiber Forward Partner Program is based on fostering mutual value through a close and trusted vendor/partner relationship.

Calix Channel Partners are able to quickly ramp-up and easily integrate the program into their business models, as well as leverage the program’s flexibility to provide customization to meet specific partner requirements.

The Fiber Forward Partner Program arms Calix Channel Partners with the products, support, and tools to effectively deliver world-class solutions in their market while increasing their profitability and market share.

The Fiber Forward Partner Program includes a comprehensive set of initiatives that combine high advantage sales engagement and low friction support and service delivery.

According to company officials, a growing number of over 60 Channel Partners on six different continents are members of the program today, driving deployments of the Calix Unified Access portfolio in 85 countries worldwide to date.

“In working with Calix, we have found a partner that truly fits with our business model and who was very engaged and focused on our unique market requirements,” said Abraham van der Merwe, managing director at Frogfoot Networks in South Africa, in a statement.

Merwe said that as a newly Certified Partner, the company is already well underway with multiple customers in southern Africa for both residential and business networks and the company has found the partnership to be very rewarding on both ends.

“While the Calix E7-2 has been very simple to deploy and tremendously scalable, the same can be said about the relationship between our two companies,” he said.

Jean-Francois Rousseau, Calix international channel sales director said that Calix Channel Partners have been an instrumental part of the growth of the company in the past several years.

Rousseau said that with the flexibility of the Fiber Forward Partner Program, Calix can quickly integrate its engagement model into the individual business models of each channel partner.

“Thanks to these close relationships between Calix and our growing base of Channel Partners, we have been able to optimize our combined sales engagement and deliver a complete solution to service providers of all sizes around the world, growing our Channel Partners' market opportunities, driving rapid results and increasing their bottom line,” said Rousseau.

Recently, Calix announced that Planet Communications (Planetcomm) has selected the Calix E7-2 Ethernet Service Access Platform (ESAP) and T-Series optical network terminals (ONTs) for a gigabit passive optical network (GPON) residential and business fiber deployment in Thailand's rapidly growing major cities, including Bangkok and Pattaya.
