Recently, Euronext, a global provider of financial markets and innovative trading technologies, installed the ADVA (News - Alert) FSP 3000 in its new Secure Financial Trading Infrastructure (SFTI) access center.

FSP 3000 is a scalable optical transport solution created to respond to today’s increasing bandwidth demands. The modular design of the company’s FSP 3000 ensures the users’ networks are built on a flexible WDM foundation, whether the user is a service provider or an enterprise.

For seamless end-to-end connectivity from the access to the metro and on to long haul, the company’s FSP 3000 represents Optical+Ethernet provisioning.

Owned and operated by NYSE Euronext, SFTI is a dedicated backbone for the securities markets. This is used by the financial community for trading, market data and colocation access.

The ADVA FSP 3000 was specifically selected because of its extensive certifications, proven low-latency capabilities and small footprint, and is already installed in some of the world's largest financial networks.

The ADVA FSP 3000 was strictly tested at the company's lab facilities to successfully qualify as one of NYSE Euronext's technology partners.

“The financial industry has some of the most demanding requirements of any in the network," commented Christoph Glingener, CTO at ADVA Optical Networking (News - Alert). "In this environment, customers need to know their mission-critical data is always safe, always accessible. There's no room for error. But success here isn't just about leading-edge technology; it's about collaboration, it's about developing a strong working relationship.”

“This is something we've developed with NYSE Euronext, and we’re looking forward to seeing the relationship grow.”

In 2011, the company participated in the Brocade Developer Program, which will allow enterprise customers the ability to efficiently roll-out next-generation data center technologies between their sites.

By implementing solutions across multiple sites, Optical Networking’s optical transmission technologies offer the platforms for IT decision-makers to get efficiencies.
