U4EA Technologies and Stoke have teamed up to create an integrated ‘Seamless Enterprise Mobility’ solution. The new offering enables converged services operators to address the burgeoning corporate demand for secure, seamless multi-network access services.

 

Under the agreement, the capabilities of U4EA’s Fusion series multi-service business gateways (MSBG) will be combined with the security and mobility anchor features of the Stoke (News - Alert) Session Exchange 3000 (SSX-3000) gateway. The combination will result in a breakthrough solution that will allow service providers to deliver an improved mobility experience through any wired or wireless IP access technology to businesses of all sizes.

 

Seamless enterprise mobility is becoming a key enterprise productivity goal as it provides a secure, persistent connection to the corporate VPN across any access medium. Companies face significant productivity loss when mobile employees switch between networks, whether wired or wireless, public or private. This happens due to many factors including disruption of work flow and the complex security procedures needed to ensure corporate data protection.

 

Both U4EA (News - Alert) and Stoke have joined hands to deliver solutions that securely extend the reach of the corporate VPN through multiple access network types. These solutions don’t require any modification to existing network infrastructure, and allow the operator to apply different classes of service while optimizing network resources through better traffic control.

 

Jim Greenway (News - Alert), U4EA’s vice president of marketing, noted that this combined Stoke-U4EA solution will enable mobile and fixed network operators to provide a unified service offering across multiple access networks. The offering will provide a secure and superior user experience while removing capital and operational expense from the operator’s radio network, backhaul, and data service network elements.

 

Barry Hill, vice president of sales and marketing at Stoke, is confident that their joint solution will save subscribers from the repetitive manual connection and re-connection that they now need to undertake when moving between network domains.

 

“The corporate productivity gains will be substantial and will provide a compelling sales point for carriers,” he said in a statement.

 

In other news, U4EA Technologies recently announced that Nuvio (News - Alert) standardized on the company’s Fusion series of Multi-service Business Gateways (MSBGs). They will be used in conjunction with Nuvio’s cloud computing platform for delivering hosted VoIP and SIP trunking services to small and medium businesses, TMC (News - Alert) said.

 

The company’s, MSBGs was recently recognized by NGN Magazine. U4EA recently received the 2009 NGN Leadership Award, TMC reported.
