Tata Communications (News
) delivers solutions to both mature and emerging markets, and one of the main ways it does that is through its partners, an official with the company told TMCnet in a podcast that’s available for listening and download on the company’s TMCnet-hosted global online community
According to Greg Adgate, director of managed services, sales and business development at Tata Communications, some of the partners in the company’s Channel Partner (News
) Program sell to medium and large enterprises, while others sell to wholesale agencies.
Asked what specific solution sets Tata Communications offers through its partner program, Adgate listed off an impressive and wide array of services.
“Let me put them into two simple buckets,” he told TMCnet. The first of those – basic solutions – would include collocation and core network services, while the second would include more complex offerings, such as managed hosting, hosted IT infrastructure, security services (“standalone firewall and intrusion detection,” he said) and a managed telepresence solution.
During our conversation, Adgate also discussed one specific case where a Tata Communications helped facilitate the delivery of a virtual network operator solution – or “VNO” – which involved his company’s ability to procure, manage and run Internet connectivity, and, in this case, to deliver a router, set up a firewall and manage an encrypted tunnel.
