Announcing the release, Westcon Group, a specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, said that this year, the handbook is available in multiple formats to maximize accessibility -- a standalone printed version, an online eBook as well as a USB-stick.
Available to Comstor resellers, the Comstor Solutions Handbook is a comprehensive desk reference book, containing product and positioning information for all the Cisco-oriented products Comstor carries on a multi-national basis.
Company officials said that the handbook comes with the current version of the Cisco Product Quick Reference Guide, or “CPQRG.” CPQRG provides descriptions and detailed specification information on hundreds of Cisco’s core networking and advanced technology products.
“This exhaustive resource, which is unique to Comstor, is an invaluable resource in helping our resellers in becoming more profitable in configuring and selling Cisco solutions,” Duncan Potter, chief marketing officer at Westcon Group (

The company has added a brand new section to the book focused entirely on Comstor's delivery of Cisco services and SMARTnet, said Potter, adding that this year, they are publishing the book as an eBook and USB stick in addition to the standard printed version.
Additionally, Potter said he believes that these other publishing mediums will help resellers be able to leverage this valuable information from virtually anywhere.
The new handbook also includes detailed market intelligence from Current Analysis (

Last year in December, Westcon Group
announced distribution of LogLogic's log management appliances and security applications to customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
