The eInstruction Corporation, an organization that has been around since 1980 and is providing interactive teaching and learning technology and services, offers innovative research-based solutions and technology for students – to increase their engagement and achievement – as well as for teachers and administrators – to enhance education and the learning experience.
Through the years, eInstruction has formulated several partnerships that have allowed it to be on the edge of innovation in education worldwide by incorporating web-based applications; utilizing techniques through Internet-based educational methods; employing a wider selection of instructional material into lessons; and including educational multimedia and animated content.
Other than bringing into play other partner’s products in its classroom and e-learning programs, eInstruction has also drawn on Learning Management System (LMS) partners like Blackboard (News - Alert) to have one central place, online, to import information created from all eInstruction products.
The most recent partnership has been EduClick, which offers a flexible solution for eInstruction clickers: it allows one to integrate a LMS platform with eInstruction's handheld "clicker" student response system (SRS) called Classroom Performance System (CPS for short). It will put into practice a low-cost and excellent quality platform to be utilized by any type of device used by the student.
With the acquisition of EduClick assets, which was just done this June, eInstruction is able to expand SRS solutions for Higher Education Classrooms in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Latin America (LATAM) regions.
As per Rich Fennessy, the President and CEO of eInstruction, the acquisition of the assets of EduClick, a company headquartered in Valencia, Spain, is going to allow continuous improvement of the education system for the development of today’s students and educators.
EduClick’s assessment software solution will be available to eInstruction customers outside of the United States and Canada later this year; reports say in the fall of 2012. It will work with a variety of student personal response devices, including Windows, Mac, UNIX, Apple iOS (iPod, iPhone, iPad), or Android (News - Alert) mobile apps. EduClick will also offer on-demand specialized services that eInstruction educators need to continue to assess the students’ learning process.
EduClick also offers data consolidation for the professional development of today’s students: it can provide feedback on students’ performance, in addition to providing analysis of key indicators for total quality management of the education system.
