Weld North Organizing New Public School Administrative Organization

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

The smartest businessmen and women who are running the best companies in the United States understand just how important it is for the country’s future to reinvest in education. Weld North Holdings has jumped into the fray as far as making sure that K-12 education is a continuing mission for companies who may not have had a direct hand in the education field before.

Weld North purchased a 100-percent controlling interest in Editure Professional Development Inc. and JBHM Education Group and is going to combine those two companies in order to build a national organization that will help monitor and improve national education standards.

Weld wants this new organization to provide consulting services to schools in the areas that have the most need, including finding a way to bring technologytotheclassroom on a more consistent basis. Weld North Managing Director, Justin Serrano is going to be taking over as lead administrator for this particular program.

Serrano has quite an extensive background of being involved in the education industry including working for 20 years at Kaplan Test Prep.

“The implementation of the Common Core Standards, coupled with increasing rigor for teacher evaluation has presented a unique opportunity to create a national provider of school improvement and professional development services,” said Jonathan Grayer, chairman and CEO of Weld North. “By combining these two independently exceptional organizations, we will immediately create one of the largest independent players in school improvement and professional development. This move, as well as our earlier investment in Education2020, furthers Weld North’s intention to play a significant role in tackling the country’s difficult K-12 education challenges.”

The Weld higher ups understand that for a school system to improve, technology has to play a key part these days. Editure’s collection of programs specializes in professional development systems for teachers and administrators, while JBHM has long specialized in using technology to get students a better education in public education system that allows as much technology as is needed. In this day and age, mobile devices as well as desktop computers are playing a larger part in education and JBHM, among other companies has worked to integrate that easier.
