District Administration recently announced that for the third year in a row, Ident-A-Kid has been recognized as a top product within its annual award program. As a part of the annual program, the publication has asked its readers to rate the hardware, software, books, materials, websites or facility products that have had a positive influence within their districts in 2012. Ident-A-Kid’s Complete Campus Security Solution (CCSS) was one among the top awards this year.
District Administration is the most regularly read publication for K12 district-level school leaders across the country. The winners for 2012 were selected from more than a thousand nominations received by the publication within the last six months. This year's reader participation is a substantial increase from last year.
In a statement, District Administration Editor Lauren Williams said, "These product recommendations included extensive descriptions from school administrators of how these products are used in their districts, making it very challenging to choose the top 100 products. We hope these products, and their accompanying testimonials, will act as a valuable resource for our readers.”
Ident-A-Kid's CCSS has been designed as an easy-to-use visitor management software capable of functioning in kiosk mode. The CCSS software helps in improving visitor control across campuses via data basing all visitor information, such as photos for positive ID. Additionally, the software also prints a custom label which all visitors are required to wear.
Kristi Austin, principal, Darlington County (S.C.) School District, said, "The CCSS allows us to enter names of people we know should not be signing students out-like non-custodial parents. Interfacing with sex offender registries is a great thing when we know they should not be in our building.”
K12 district-level school leaders across the nation depend on District Administration to gain information about the latest on education technology, news, curriculum, policy, finance and profiles among other such pertinent information. Detailed yearly market research has proven that at present there is no other K12 education management publication that can effectively compare with the reach and readership engagement of District Administration.
