This Tuesday, Lumesse announced the release of its newest Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) e-learning authoring platform, CourseBuilder 6M. As a talent management solution, CourseBuilder can be integrated with Lumesse’s already proven product Lumesse Learning Gateway (News - Alert) 6.0, as well as the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
CourseBuilder 6M comes with loads of new features and capabilities, and works to empower learning leaders to create content suitable for mobile devices. This in turn creates a more up-to-date and flexible learning environment for students of all ages, and teachers as well.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is a growing trend for businesses, especially in the technology industry, but schools are also catching on. With its new offering, Lumesse is responding to the popularity of BYOD today, when students have smartphones and iPads on them at all times.
By allowing students to use these devices to learn, Lumesse creates more opportunities throughout the day that a student can use to do their schoolwork. This is especially helpful when a student’s schedule is busy, or their home computer is shared, etc.
The flexibility CourseBuilder 6M offers is unmatched, and this newest launch ensures the service is available via nearly any LMS and on virtually any device.
“In today’s working environment, collaboration and flexible working are key, and the underlying architecture and functionality of CourseBuilder 6M fully integrates e-learning content with mobile technology to offer new levels of high-impact learning,” explained CourseBuilder’s product manager, Sven Ove Sjølyst.
CourseBuilder 6M also comes with the benefits of multiple-language capabilities, providing the product with a wider reach across the e-learning industry.
In addition, one of the most useful features of the program is its ability to hop from one device to another. That way, a teacher can begin a course with the students in class, and the student can continue from where they left off on their own device – whether they choose to do so as they take the bus home, or as they wait to be picked up practice, or later when they are in bed with their tablet.
“By empowering customers to learn at their convenience on the device of their choice, HR and learning leaders are likely to increase the adoption rates for their e-learning content and prepare the workforce for tomorrow’s skills demand,” added Ove Sjølyst.
The product is useful to customers of nearly any age, so whether the platform is used in the classroom, for college students, or in the workplace, the offerings can be accessed and used in the same way.
The solution is now available on iOS, Android, Windows Phone (News - Alert) 8 and other mobile devices that support HTML5/JS/CSS3.
