21vianet.com (VNET.NASDAQ): Q3 net profits down 86 pct y-o-y to RMB12.2 mln

21vianet Group Inc. (VNET.NASDAQ), th
e largest carrier-neutral Internet data center services provider in Ch
ina, announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter o
f 2012 on Friday, saying that its Q3 net profits were 12.2 million yua
n, down 86 percent compared to 87.7 million yuan in the same period in
2011.
The company said that net revenues for the third quarter increased
by 51.4 percent to 396.1 million yuan and it expected the net revenue
s for 2012 to be 1.519 billion to 1.526 billion yuan.
This month 21Vianet entered into a strategic partnership agreement
with Microsoft Corporation to expand Microsoft's premier commercial c
loud services, including Office 365 and Windows Azure, into China.
The company has been licensed the technology and other rights to o
perate and offer Office 365 and Windows Azure services in China. Micro
soft and 21Vianet will co-market the services targeting small and medi
um-sized enterprises, multinationals, government agencies and others,
which is expected to help further broaden 21Vianet's client base. (Edi
