A recent study conducted by IDC (News - Alert) indicated that disruptive technologies such as mobility, business analytics, virtualization and cloud will take shape the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) software market this year.

As cloud computing has gained momentum across the MENA region, FVC – a Value Added Distributor (VAD) in the MENA region and with a vision to bring Emerging Cloud services to the region – has joined with Zoho Corporation. The partnership will also allow the reseller community to offer regional cloud services.

As a private company providing a comprehensive suite of on-line business, productivity and collaboration applications, Zoho (News - Alert) has rolled-out nearly 27 different applications, including several online office applications: Writer, Sheet, Show and Mail along with a host of business applications ranging from CRM to Projects, Invoice and Meeting.

Zoho’s applications are offered directly via Zoho.com or through hundreds of partners in the Zoho Alliance Partner Program.

Under the terms of the venture, FVC will represent ZOHO in the MENA region as a value-added distributor for their online Cloud Applications, which include the Zoho CRM, Zoho HRIS, Zoho Projects, Zoho invoicing and Zoho Web Conferencing.

This partnership will compliment FVC’s Cloud vision of bringing Emerging Cloud services to the MENA region and equip FVC’s reseller community to offer cloud services, according to a release. FVC will deploy dedicated sales and technical resources in MENA region, as the first point of contact.

“One of FVC's visions has always been to bring Emerging Cloud services to the region and equip our channel community with a comprehensive range of cloud services they can offer their enterprise customers,” said K.S. Parag, managing director at FVC. “Zoho brings the highest level of expertise, experience and flexibility to the region in cloud applications, as they have more than 32 online applications."

“Customers are continually looking for ways to simplify their IT environments, and with this partnership we are trying to enter the market in the MENA region," said Raju Vegesna (News - Alert), Zoho Evangelist.

According to FVC, it has been judged the Best Value Added Distributor (VAD) by Channel Middle East and Reseller Middle East.

Zoho recently announced the addition of a new feature to its online accounting software: Zoho Books. The program, supporting automatic bank feeds, helps retrieve transactions from users' bank and credit card accounts automatically, and imports them into Zoho Books to reduce data entry considerably.
