Zoho Sites Get Email Hosting Functionality
By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer
Zoho has long been a company that has managed to go toe to toe with bigger companies like Google (News - Alert) when it comes to offering online solutions to document and spreadsheet creation. The company even offers a database feature that is actually a little better than what Google can offer. Zoho (News - Alert) has also been making inroads into email hosting and the company has unveiled that a new integration between the company’s email hosting site and its Web building program known as Zoho Sites.
While access to the Zoho email hosting solution is certainly key, the big time positives of the new Zoho Sites integration is that this program also can be used in conjunction with 3rd party services such as YouTube (News - Alert), Flikr, Facebook and a host of the Web’s most popular sites and services.
Zoho Sites is geared towards allowing individuals and small businesses to create their own sites as quickly and easily as possible. With this robust email hosting solution in place, companies can add and manage the e-mail addresses straight from the Zoho console. The email hosting provider allows companies to purchase and maintain multiple domains as easily as possible as well as handle those domains through the same console.
Further, the company allows people to determine who can maintain and update those domains by setting up different groups that are given varying degrees of management permissions. There can be as many or as few moderators as the person who is setting up the groups wants and these people can also deal with spam and other e-mails through the email hosting program without complexity. The fact that all of these programs are better integrated than before means that once a website is built and email hosting function has been added, people can use the tools that Zoho offers to come up with a ton of different options for those websites.
