Echoworx (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of credential management and managed encryption services, claimed that oneWorld is a policy-based e-mail encryption solution for multiple platforms designed to fix the fragmented work of encryption protocols.
Users can choose what is best for them among the PGP (News - Alert), S/MIME, PDF, or even TLS methods to send encrypted messages and the solution is purported to deliver the e-mail encryption option without boundaries.
Michael Ginsberg, CEO at Echoworx commented, “For the first time a oneWorld user can seamlessly talk to an S/MIME and PGP user without having to do anything special. This solves the issue of today’s very fragmented encryption market and ensures users on different platforms can easily read encrypted messages using a variety of technologies, without the need for costly upgrades.”
oneWorld hides the encryption complexities from the end-user and allows the enterprise to choose the optimal delivery method putting the control back in the hands of the enterprise. It is capable of interoperating with multiple platforms and allows mails to be read on all desktop and mobile devices.
With oneWorld managed encryption solution, each option selected by the enterprise can be enabled or combined to build unique profile for the sending enterprise and the encryption engine is also capable of moving onto the next channel to deliver the message in case the chosen option fails. By supporting PGP, S/MIME and TLS, the solution provides organizations with an easy way to enforce e-mail encryption without changing the way employees send and receive e-mails.
Echoworx claimed that its suite of products can also help organizations reduce the challenges and complexity of regulatory compliance and provides them with the tools needed to help them comply with industry regulations such as HIPAA, GLBA, SOX, and others.
