Mimecast, a company that provides email archiving, hosting and security for customers using Microsoft (News
- Alert) products, recently revealed that it will be spearheading three sessions and a keynote at the Fall Microsoft DevConnections 2012, being held in Las Vegas from October 29 - November 1, 2012.
In his keynote address, Dr. Nathaniel Borenstein, chief scientist of Mimecast, will discuss the rapid spread of Internet technology and how the Internet remains remarkably unfinished in his presentation titled, “What Next? The Unfinished Business of Building the Internet,” slated to take place on Tuesday, October 30 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. PT.
Throughout his informative speech, Borenstein will also highlight reasons as to why the Internet has not yet achieved the vision of its founders and how its unfinished business could have revolutionary consequences for the way people live and work.
In addition to this keynote, Mimecast executives will lead two other sessions. The session, titled, “Happy 20th Birthday to Mime and the Shape of E-mail Today,” will take place on Wednesday, October 31, 6:00 -7:00 p.m. PT. During this segment, Julian Martin, VP of Strategic Alliances at Mimecast will draw on findings from the recent "Shape of E-mail" research, which looks at the changing nature of the inbox, remote access to e-mail and the use of social media, revealing the concerns and obstacles faced by businesses managing e-mail today.
Further, lead by Mounil Patel, director of Pre-Sales Engineering and Professional Services at Mimecast, the session titled, “Cloud Computing Standards: What do we need and how do we get there?”, will detail the importance of cloud computing industry standards and how businesses can work together to support the common goal of developing industry standards. It will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 11:30am - 12:30pm PT.
