VEXXHOST, an email hosting provider, recently unveiled its high performance and fully redundant cloud computing platform. The cloud technology is powered by OpenStack, a highly scalable open source cloud operating system that powers some of the world’s largest enterprises. It offers very popular templates, both Linux & Windows with a list of templates being constantly added.
The VEXXHOST platform also provides unique features that are not offered with any other OpenStack cloud, such as advanced performance metrics for each server and full system logs that are included free of charge.
The entire infrastructure is powered by the robust control panel, which is an in-house developed platform that leverages all of the OpenStack compute features ranging from simple server creation and power tasks to complex security groups and key pair injection.
Customers of VEXXHOST that select to leverage this new platform will be able to get their servers on the cloud in a very simple manner. They will also be allowed to add/remove IP addresses from the control panel, with those changes being reflected instantly in the network configuration on the server. This will further allow for easy server management.
The implementation between the operating system and cloud layer is fully integrated and allows the cloud platform to interact with the customers cloud server transparently using an advanced agent. This will lead to the optimization of email hosting as well.
In related email hosting news, TMCnet reported that Intermedia (News - Alert), another major email hosting provider, recently expanded its management team by appointing two new vice presidents.
