Almost everyone who lives on the East Coast and specifically New York and New Jersey has been affected in one way or another by the fury of Hurricane Sandy. This has prompted Sinu, a Tribeca-based IT management company, to partner with Intermedia (News - Alert), an email hosting provider, to offer free e-mail messaging to nonprofit organizations in these states.

 Sinu is touted as the technology support infrastructure for professional organizations and nonprofits on the Eastern Seaboard and throughout the country.

 Both the companies have inked this vital partnership to offer their services as a stop-gap measure to get e-mail flowing again from nonprofit organizations who have suffered damage from power or connectivity loss to premises-based mail systems. Both the companies are donating their platform free of charge for up to 30 days to qualified nonprofits and there are also no commitments for the nonprofits to continue.

"We realize there are many nonprofits in the area trying to help those affected by the storm, but they are with limited or no email communications due to lack of power or server issues," said Sinu COO, John Christie in a statement."We wanted to do what we could to help them stay connected to their constituents and volunteers."

Intermedia offers cloud services to small and medium-sized businesses. The company provides 24x7 support, 99 percent financially backed SLA, and a Cloud Concierge custom migration offerings.

"Communications at times like this are vital to recovery," added Michael Gold, president, Intermedia. "We want to do what we can to help the nonprofits in New York and New Jersey stay connected while they work to support the community."
