Colligo Networks’ Colligo Briefcase, the mobile app for secure SharePoint content management, is now available on Android, Mac OS X, and Apple (News - Alert) iOS devices. The collaboration solution now also extends compatibility to email hosting solution Microsoft (News - Alert) SharePoint 2013, Microsoft Office 2013, and Microsoft Windows 8 PCs.

This release helps companies to solve the BYOD challenge with a single solution that works across every platform, device, and version of SharePoint such as on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid SharePoint environments.

The robust Colligo solution provides organizations with highly secure mobile SharePoint access, SharePoint e-mail management, centralized configuration and management and professional training services.

Alan Pelz-Sharpe said that the ability to access any document on any device at any time and from anywhere has long been considered the “Holy Grai”l for document management.  And the sync ability found within this suite is clearly a boon to those who are adherents to BYOD and mobile information workers in general.

Back in October, Colligo Networks, a major player in e-mail and document management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, unveiled Colligo Briefcase 3.3, adding powerful new capabilities to the secure SharePoint app for Apple mobile devices.

 Touted as the only enterprise-class suite of apps to deliver a consistent user experience when managing SharePoint content across desktop and mobile devices, it includes a SharePoint/Outlook integration app; the Colligo E-mail Manager and Colligo Administrator for centralized administration and management; in addition to the award-winning Colligo Briefcase for secure mobile access.
