Named SharePoint Connector, this plug-and-play module enables mobile developers to safely create enterprise-class native mobile apps that make use of SharePoint data, content and documents.
As of now, Appcelerator Open Marketplace provides various other connectors, and this addition helps companies to quickly create rich mobile apps.
With the help of SharePoint Connector, companies utilizing Appcelerator's Titanium platform can safely combine Microsoft SharePoint data into mobile applications.
Rather than connecting modules to access SharePoint data, companies can now concentrate on an application's core functionality and user interface. The module provides highly customizable setting, allowing data to be accessed anywhere at any time, as it is equipped with offline features.
WinWire will launch SharePoint Connector at an upcoming conference, the company has stated.
“Sharepoint Connector will allow organizations that leverage Microsoft SharePoint, to deliver better mobile experiences for their workforce and customers, regardless of the device they use," said Appcelerator COO Sandeep Johri. "On the heels of announcing Titanium's support for Microsoft Windows 8 and Window's Phone (News - Alert) 8 platform, this integration further evidences our commitment to enterprise needs. We are excited to partner with WinWire to empower our outstanding community of developers and enterprise partners with the ability to equip mobile apps with SharePoint capabilities.”
