Email Finder, a division within a data management company that obtains consumer information and powers email hosting, recently launched its reverse e-mail lookup website that provides people with the opportunity to discover the owner of nearly any e-mail address.
Major social media platforms including Facebook (News - Alert), Twitter and MySpace now report over one billion users. However, obtaining information from these websites may impact the privacy of user account information.
Luckily with this search tool, which has been designed for online use only, users can instantly search through millions of records to display ownership of an e-mail account and up to 20 social media accounts online. It will now be possible to easily find out the name, address and telephone number that is associated with an e-mail address, a functionality that is core to this online search service.
In addition to social media use, families that hire workers to perform work inside of their homes can now lookup e-mail addresses. In order to find talented workers, people often rely on websites like BackPage or Craigslist. Yet, one of the drawbacks of using these websites is that user information cannot be verified at this time.
By attaching a name, address or phone number to an e-mail address, the Email Finder service tries to bridge the gap that is left wide open by these websites. It also helps small business owners to verify information without being force to hire an expensive third party background search firm.
In related email hosting news, TMCnet reported that Intermedia (News - Alert), an email hosting provider, has just expanded its management team by appointing two new vice presidents.
