Intermedia (News - Alert), an email hosting solutions provider, recently released Outlook 2013, its latest version of Microsoft’s (News - Alert) business email client. Designed to provide an enhanced user experience, this revamped version of Outlook brings together the mobile device, app store and social worlds, as well as enables users to be more productive.

The all new Outlook 2013 can adapt based on the device it is being used on. Touch mode is also available for tablets and some laptops.

The next generation offering is touted as helping users to respond to e-mails via in-line composition, further eliminating the need to open a new window.  The availability of an enhanced inbox view makes names standout in the message list for easier identification.

Outlook 2012 performs faster than previous versions. It features People Hub, where Outlook contacts can be combined with contacts from social networks. In addition, users can view a contact’s social network updates with ease.

While the software is available as an optional feature to Intermedia’s hosted Exchange 2007 and 2010 as well as the newest version Hosted Exchange 2013, current customers of Intermedia that have Outlook can upgrade to Outlook 2013 for free.

The email hosting provider, in addition to Outlook 2013, also offers cloud services including Hosted Exchange 2013 via its Office in the Cloud suite of services. Office in the Cloud combines Microsoft email hosting services Exchange 2013, Lync 2013, and SharePoint 2013, with Intermedia’s services for backup, mobility, security, voice, etc.

In related news, TMCnet reported that Intermedia recently introduced its Hosted Exchange 2013 beta program, which will enable users to experience the latest, most advanced touch interface and roaming capabilities across multiple devices, from smartphones and tablets to the more traditional desktop.
