Kotak Mahindra Group, an Indian financial services group, has implemented email hosting solutions Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 in order to improve collaboration and communication amongst its employees.

The deployment of Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 will enable the company to support improved employee efficiency and better IT management. The architecture of the products ensures seamless integration into the existing tech environment as well.

The group consolidated servers for these products across the  company, which led to improved cost efficiency from higher utilization of resources, standardization and improved manageability of the IT environment.

Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 have an interface which is very similar to other Microsoft products and are also intuitive to use. Further, the knowledge of the products made it easy for the group’s employees to start using it right away, ramping up productivity dramatically.

In related email hosting news, TMCnet reported that SherWeb, an email hosting provider, recently revealed that its Hosted Exchange 2010 environment will fully support the mail function on Apple’s (News - Alert) brand new iPad, the iPad 3.
