And now, the technology will be used in linen management. TAGSYS RFID, a provider of item-level inventory management systems improves the functionality of the supply chain, has entered into a partnership with Hilden, a supplier of linen products and related services in UK.

With this partnership, Hilden will have the credit of being the first company to bring RFID technology in linen management. The company will make use of TAGSYS' item-level inventory management system, which utilizes the industry's most complete and scalable RFID-based infrastructure. The system, created especially for the textile services industry, consists of RFID technologies, and services. Also, for enhanced inventory visibility, Hilden has picked up TAGSYS' item-level UHF tracking capabilities, the company has stated.

Recently, the company announced that it was leading a $US32 million (25 million Euros) worldwide collaborative RFID R&D program.
