Personal Communications Devices (News - Alert), LLC is a company that provides carriers and manufacturers with a variety of product life cycle management services such as planning and development, inventory, technical testing, quality control and more. Recently, it announced the iDEN Migration portal, which gives access to next generation hardware solutions for embedded M2M solutions specialist Sprint’s (News - Alert) data transport customers.
Customers can buy data transport hardware from the portal easily and efficiently. In the past, iDEN customers had to go through different independent distributors to get hardware made by different manufacturers. Now, the new portal can help customers with black box integration and sensor- based requirements.
“At PCD, we pride ourselves on finding innovative solutions for our service provider and manufacturing partners,” said George Appling, president and CEO of PCD. “Our ongoing relationship with Sprint is the ideal foundation from which to expand our scope of services and enter this space by providing an improved service for transitioning iDEN customers.”
Customers will be able to obtain a compact enterprise class of cellular routers from Digi Transport and intelligent CDMA wireless routers from Multi-Tech (News - Alert), among other equipment. If customers wish to place small orders, they can do so by credit card, or they can set up a direct line of credit for larger orders.
“The new iDEN Migration tool is a perfect transition channel to the most advanced technology for our IDEN data customers,” said Wayne Ward, vice president-Emerging Solutions Group, Sprint. “PCD has a proven track record of success with Sprint and we can think of no one better to streamline and implement this process for our customers.”
