ZTR Control Systems Launches M50, a Broadband Telematics Unit

By Sujata Garud, TMCnet Contributor

ZTR Control Systems has launched a powerful and versatile addition to its telematics product line, M50. The wireless gateway and remote monitoring system facilitates 3G Wireless Broadband Routing along with standard GPS and telematics connectivity, as a part of the ZTR inReach solution.

The solution provides action-oriented information on equipment productivity, health, and GPS location.

This newly launched system is ideal for connectivity and diagnostics with Power Generation equipment controllers, Oil & Gas site controllers/PLCs, and Locomotive control systems. It fits perfectly with the Machine2Business (M2B) approach pioneered by ZTR.

The exceptional programming flexibility of M50 enables ZTR to integrate with on-board equipment controllers via serial and Ethernet, using a wide variety of protocols. The M2B approach then magnifies the telematics system value by integrating inReach with business systems on the other end, and delivering the right equipment information to the right people at the right time.

Recently, ZTR released the new M4H GPS tracking unit, a self-powered, easy-to-install, slap and track-type system. The M4H offers businesses affordable remote equipment monitoring system – perfect for basic tracking of rental equipment, rail cars, containers, off road equipment and more.

Features include: 3G HSPA cellular and GPS antenna system, industry-enhanced GPS location tracking, and an IP67 environmental rating. The M4H can integrate with existing equipment, as well as private-labeled.

M4H is part of the inReach solution and fits perfectly with ZTR's machine-to-business approach. An end-to-end telematics solution, inReach is rock-solid yet flexible.

To unlock the full potential of telematics, ZTR created a methodology called Machine2Business (M2B). M2B takes M2M to the next level by delivering the right equipment information to the right people at the right time.
