Office supply dealers strive to reduce paper-related delivery and other service costs and to enhance their competitive position by improving driver efficiency and customer service.

Jump Technologies, a specialist in smart technology, offers a cloud computing solution for supply-chain management. JumpTrack from Jump Technologies is used by 70 dealers already and it has been named by Forbes as one of the top ten solutions for mobile POD software.

Six new office supply dealer companies have adopted the JumpTrack real-time, cloud-based proof-of-delivery (POD) solution, said officials.

John Freund, Jump Technologies CEO and chief technologist, said, “JumpTrack is a lifeline for independent office supply dealers in a competitive environment where technology is critical for survival. It’s a low-cost, easy-to-implement way to enhance image and competitiveness and therefore help them capture more business. What’s more, it typically delivers ROI in the first month.”

JumpTrack’s POD solution improves driver and back-office efficiency significantly in addition to being cost efficient. Also it is easy to implement and use. It’s easy-to-use interface enables fast implementation on wireless devices that are used by drivers already. There is no need for training or new hardware investments.

For dealers, JumpTrack eliminates the use of paper as it lists all manifest details on the drivers’ mobile phones. Items that are being delivered are displayed on the driver’s phone for viewing by customers. Also drivers benefit from the visibility into routes, delivery details and notes on their phones.

In addition, the office staff can also access to the same information on the JumpTrack Web portal. This reduces dependence on paper and enables quick response to customer queries thereby improving both office and driver productivity.

Jump Technologies introduced its supply-chain management blog in 2013. This will specifically keep followers informed about the latest trends, research, and successes in supply-chain management. Topic examples range from helping hospitals leverage the supply chain to address the impact of the Affordable Healthcare Act to helping trucking firms track and assess driver productivity.
