Isabelle Marcoux named one of Canada's Most Influential Women of 2012

Isabelle Marcoux, Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc., on being
named a recipient of the prestigious Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100(TM) award for 2012.
Presented each year for the past decade by the Women's Executive Network
(WXN), the Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100(TM) awards recognize the professional achievements of the country's most
prominent female leaders in Canada's private, public and non-profit
sectors. Recipients are selected based on their strategic vision and
leadership, the financial success of their organization, and their
commitment to their community.
Isabelle Marcoux has been Chair of the Board of Transcontinental Inc.
since 2007, and prior to that was Vice President, Corporate Development
for the Company from 2004. In the latter capacity, she was responsible
for all strategic planning processes as well as mergers and
acquisitions. Ms. Marcoux is also a Member of the Board of George
Weston Limited, Rogers Communications Inc. and Power Corporation of
Canada. She is also a director of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan
Montreal and is well known for her deep commitment to the community.
Among other things, in the past year Ms. Marcoux chaired the Tel-Jeunes
2012-2017 fundraising campaign and will serve as Patron of Honour for
the 2012 Children's Ball of the Montreal Children's Hospital
Foundation.
