SMTP gets 8,190 portable IP addresses

Dec 19, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- SMTP, Inc. (OTCBB: SMTP), a global email marketing and delivery provider, said it has been issued 8,190 portable virgin IPv4 addresses directly from the American Registry for Internet Numbers . This increases the number of portable IPv4 addresses it controls to 12,286.

According to SMTP, previously issued IP addresses carry their historical reputation and typically have questionable credibility. As a result, companies relying on recycled IP addresses generally experience significant difficulties in maximizing their email deliverability.

"With this large block of newly issued IP addresses, SMTP will be in a better position to guarantee corporate customers the highest level of IP reputation and email deliverability," said Semyon Dukach, chairman of SMTP. "And, since these newly issued IP addresses are portable, our corporate customers will never lose the IP reputation earned if we move our email servers." SMTP is a provider of cloud-based services to facilitate email deliverability, including bulk and transactional sending, reputation management, compliance auditing, abuse processing and issue resolution. The company's website is at http://www.smtp.com.
