Navicure Tops Annual KLAS Clearinghouse Report for Second Time since 2008
ATLANTA --(Business Wire)--
Navicure,
a leading Internet-based medical claims clearinghouse for physician
practices, today announced that the company was ranked first in the KLAS
2012 "Clearinghouse Services: Yesterday 5010, Tomorrow ICD-10" report
for clearinghouse vendors. The KLAS premium report indicated that key
areas of differentiation among clearinghouses exist in service, offered
tool set functionality, and ability to maintain high performance during
regulatory changes, such as 5010. Navicure was a top performer in all
three categories.
As part of its research, KLAS interviewed participants from various
organizations who had first-hand experience with their respective
clearinghouse solutions. Interviews focused on comparing the features
and functionality of clearinghouse vendors, including Allscripts,
Availity, Capario, Emdeon, Gateway (News - Alert) EDI, GE Healthcare, Office Ally,
OptumInsight, Practice Insight, RealMed, RelayHealth, and ZirMed. Key
Navicure related findings include:
-
An overall score of 92.9 out of 100, the highest score among all 13
vendors rated.
-
100% of Navicure clients said that the company kept the promises made
at the time of implementation.
-
Navicure scored a category-high 81% "Evangelism Score," which
indicates the net percentage of clients who would recommend their
brand to others.
"We're very pleased with the results of the KLAS 2012 clearinghouse
services report. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of
our employees who have worked diligently for the last two years to
ensure a smooth 5010 transition for our clients," said Jim Denny,
co-founder, president and CEO of Navicure. "As the industry continues to
face regulatory transitions, everyone at Navicure is committed to
continuing to lead the industry in client support. We are thankful for
our employees' hard work and creativity, and our clients' continued
loyalty and trust that we'll continue to be there for them through
ICD-10 and beyond."
"ICD-10 will be a more significant change than the HIPAA 5010
trnsition. Success here will require the coordination of many moving
parts," said Mark Wagner, senior director, clinical & ambulatory systems
at KLAS. "While the bulk of responsibility lies with the payers and the
EMR/PM vendors who have to adjust their solutions to manage massive
lists of codes, providers still expect their clearinghouse vendors to be
prepared and help in the transition…. Of respondents, 82% reported total
confidence in Navicure for ICD-10…. That confidence comes from a smooth
5010 experience and a good reputation for being ahead on development and
industry requirements."
Navicure's Web-based account receivables management solutions automate
