Vocus Integrates Social Into Government Relations Suite
Beltsville, MD, Feb 04, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
Vocus (NASDAQ: VOCS), a leading provider of cloud marketing software, released an updated version of its Government Relations Suite.
The update adds social engagement and monitoring tools to the suite to harness the power of social networking. New capabilities include the ability to monitor Congressional member Facebook and Twitter updates, engage in social network conversations on topical issues, private legislator records, and involve stakeholders in social media eAdvocacy campaigns.
Vocus' eAdvocacy enables an organization's supporters to tweet their legislators directly with a specified message. eAdvocacy Facebook turns Facebook pages into an online eAdvocacy action center. "Likes" can now become messages sent to elected officials, with Vocus storing all actions taken and new Facebook followers gained.
Supporters can also spread the word to their social network by updating their personal Facebook profile directly from Vocus to let their friends and family know about their support of an organization. All of this activity is tracked in the new Vocus Government Relations suite.
"With this major upgrade of the Vocus Government Relations suite, we have made social media a core component of our software," said Vocus Senior Vice President of Product, You Mon Tsang. "Government relations and stakeholder advocacy has proven to be very effective over social media and now, our clients can respond and activate their stakeholders across all different media, including social."
Vocus' Government Relations software helps organizations manage grassroots networks, monitor legislation and track PAC contacts. Vocus provides a complete grassroots management solution, featuring a comprehensive database of federal and state legislative contacts. Corporations and organizations can track projects, activities and legislation; maintain a professional online advocacy site; and analyze lobbying efforts and legislative success.
