This week was all about apps that assist users with call recordings.
TeleWare (News - Alert) announced it linked up with Liquid Voice to now offer call recording for users on the go. Together, their offering will make it possible to conduct secure recordings from any phone – whether located out of the office, or even from a mobile device.
To step up recording capabilities on the iPhone (News - Alert), MIC Cast, a new $40 product being offered by iRig, includes a microphone which company officials say is comparable to the size of a half dollar, and can be plugged into the headphone jack of the device and record any sounds coming from the speaker or headphones.
Another app, Callnote by Kanda, offers call recording for Skype (News
- Alert) calls. Now the company has announced it will also offer video and chat recording so users can have a complete record of all communications made using Skype.
Also this week, TelStrat director of marketing, Ed Templeman (News - Alert), was highlighted discussing the ways their company’s products benefit call centers. From affordability, to advanced technologies and ease of use – the conversation which took place at the International Avaya (News
- Alert) Users Group Conference- also included talk about the ways call recording can provide protection against lawsuits and even help to improve customer service.
Related to the topic of recording calls, a report this week noted an increase in wiretapping over the past few years in Russia.
According to the report, the Supreme Court has issued a number of new sanctions to record telephone calls in 2011 – double the amount of those that were granted in 2007.
